I received my dried starter in the mail and began the process right away following the online instructions and video to a T. I was beginning to get concerned on day 3 when it wasn’t showing any signs of activation however as it’s been colder lately, I carried on with fingers crossed. It is now day 4 and the starter has formed a white fuzzy mold. I’m not sure what could have gone wrong…?
