Nearly every person can benefit from som sort of to strengthening the erectors, hamstrings, and glutes — referred to as the posterior chain. These muscles make up the powerhouse of the body to propel us through life and allow us to do super cool stuff. Some of my favorite exercises for lower back resilience are the back extensions, deadlifts and good mornings — all ones featured in this post! Other favorites include bent over rows, hip thrusts, glute bridges, RDLs, and various loaded movements into spinal flexion, side bending, and rotation. And, let me tell you, my posterior chain is STRONG.
