Car Coach is an attempt to create a platform for user interface research for the real world. It is able to recognize a driver's strengths and weaknesses including seat belt use, erratic steering, and slamming on the gas or brake pedals and give appropriate feedback by vibrating different parts of the vehicle. The car can also identify when not to give feedback depending on other distractions or the driver's mood. The dashboard mounted camera is equipped with the blue-eyes program that can sense where the driver is focused and can tell how awake he or she is as well as where distractions are coming from.
