Spring 2015 Fashion Trend: Sheer Ruled the Runways at Paris

It would be a vast understatement to say that the sheer trend is still going strong for spring 2015. Because the sometimes sexy, always pretty diaphanous look was interpreted in a multitude of ways by quite a few designers on the Paris Fashion Week runways. Actually, I'm just going to make a blanket statement and say that everyone is doing sheer for next season. So stock up on the right undergarments and check out five inspired ways to wear the translucent trend for spring—or right now. For Valentino spring 2015, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli mixed delightful Italian seaside-themed prints onto a luminous sheer mididress. It would almost be a crime to line it Veronique Branquinho offered a covered-up but still statement-making way to wear sheer: on a tank-lined ruffled blouse and as glimmering lining peeking out from a pleated gold skirt. At Balmain, model Fei Fei Sun rocked sheer wide-leg pants (another '90s throwback alert!). The trick to keeping see-through trousers on the demure side? Layer them under a minidress or long top.
