We love these glasses, they are so unusual. When they were first made they would have been silver plate on the flute and brass on the stem and base. Some years and a great deal of enthusiastic polishing later has rendered the patina rather interesting. The silver plate has all but completely worn away but we think that the effect is quite lovely. There are also some permanent tarnish marks, which again add to their character. All in all a very stylish and quickly set of metal Champagne flutes.
